Dr. T. Priol was born in Rennes on May 18, 1960. He received a PhD degree in 1989 and an "habilitation" in 1995 in computer science at University of Rennes I (France). He is currently research director at INRIA (Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique). Dr. Priol's research interests cover two main areas: programming environments for parallel architectures and parallel rendering algorithms. He has contributed to 30 papers on programming tools, computer graphics and parallel rendering algorithms for parallel architectures. In 1991, Dr. Priol has been awarded in the Mannheim SuParCup'91 competition (Germany) and won the first prize for its contribution in the field of parallel rendering.
