VECPAR 2000 will be held at Dr. António Cupertino de Miranda Foundation, from June 20 to June 23. Fundação Dr. António Cupertino de Miranda is located in front of the City Park of Porto, near the rivermouth of Douro. Dr. António Cupertino de Miranda Foundation, a private non-profit-making institution, is one of the cultural symbols of Porto city and of the country. The activities of the Foundation are visible through its intense cultural activity, with emphasis on concerts, congresses, temporary exhibitions, lectures and the Paper Money Museum, a unique place in Portugal and in Europe, with a true State collection of 10000 paper money document. The Foundation has unparalleled conditions in the city, owing to its modern and spacious premises, located in a central part of the city with easy access. Completing these facilities there is a restaurant with a hospitable atmosphere which, apart from serving meals to congress participants, is open to the public every day.
Paper Money MuseumThe Paper Money Museum, with an area of about 400 square metres, has a collection of paper money documents in permanent exhibition. In this computerized museum the Portugal's history is told with the documentary aid of paper money.The museum includes a bookshop and a stationary shop with a whole range of items whose main theme is paper money.
