Grid by Examples: IBM Experience
Luís Ferreira (Grid Computing Architect at IBM Austin, Texas)
Abstract:
In the past several years, grid computing has emerged as a way to harness and take advantage of computing resources across geographies and organizations. In this session, we present a generalized view of grid computing applied in real world scenarios, by describing a few grid computing solutions that have been successfully deployed. The goal is to provide a better understanding of how desktop and server-oriented grids can be designed, developed, and deployed. Solutions that are presented in this session span various industries, architectures, and grid-enabled products.
