Large Eddy Simulation of reacting flows on massively parallel machines
Abstract:
Large Eddy Simulation (LES) of reacting flow in gas turbines and
piston engines is viewed today as the key computational method to reduce
pollution and optimize combustion. Such computations are possible only on
massively parallel machines. This talk will describe some examples of
applications and propose a comparison of the performances of the CERFACS
LES code on multiple architectures, up to 8000 processors, including
five machines among the first 20 machines of the Top 500.
